Local potter Prue rose brilliantly to the challenge of creating soaring ceramic wall lights—large enough to hold their own in the industrial space, yet constrained by the vertical limits of her kiln. Working from a hand-cut cardboard template, she threw the vessels on the wheel before carefully flattening them into form.

In the kiln, the clay shifted and softened, its final shape uncertain until the door was opened. The result: sculptural pieces that sit flush to the wall, their presence both bold and delicate.

Prue’s studio itself is a haven of texture, form, and the quiet alchemy of glaze.
